The Menomonee Falls Police Department and surrounding agencies have taken several reports where citizens have received telephone calls asking them to wire money because a relative has been arrested. Sometimes these scams also come via e-mail. In most cases, the money is to be wired out of the country. When a money transfer takes place, it is difficult to trace and an investigation is often impossible. For more information, please refer to the following websites:
