The Menomonee Falls Fire Department is hosting a Citizen's Fire Academy, starting on Tuesday, February 6th at 6:30 pm at Station 3 (W140 N5701 Lilly Road). The Academy will run 3 hours each Tuesday evening for 13 weeks. Must be 18 years of age or older and it's open to residents of Menomonee Falls and Lannon. Cost is TBD. The Academy will give participants hands-on experience, demonstrate life saving techniques like CPR and AED use and give a behind-the-scenes look at the Menomonee Falls Fire Department! News Release 1-25-18 Phone Scam The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department has taken several complaints regarding another SCAM in our area. People are receiving calls from an unknown person stating they are from the Waukesha County Clerk of Courts. The person goes on to say that you owe money for jury duty, or fees related to a court hearing or unpaid fines. They are asking for your credit card information to pay off any unpaid fines or fees. If you do not answer, the person leaves a message advising you to call the Waukesha County Clerk of Courts at 262-408-6373. This is not a valid number for the clerk of courts. The majority of stolen vehicles reported to MFPD have had keys left inside-doors unlocked/MFPD is asking the public lock their vehicles and remove all valuables.
