2018 – Menomonee Falls Fire Department Citizen’s Fire Academy
The Menomonee Falls Fire Department is hosting a Citizen's Fire Academy, starting on Tuesday, February 6th at 6:30 pm at Station 3 (W140 N5701 Lilly Road). The Academy will run 3 hours each Tuesday evening for 13 weeks. Must be 18 years of age or older and it's open to residents of Menomonee Falls and Lannon. Cost is TBD. The Academy will give participants hands-on experience, demonstrate life saving techniques like CPR and AED use and give a behind-the-scenes look at the Menomonee Falls Fire Department! Menomonee Falls 911 Dispatch Announcement
***For Immediate Release *** The Village of Menomonee Falls is transitioning all of its police/fire/EMS dispatch services to the Waukesha County Communications Center (WCC). On Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 7:00 am, Menomonee Falls 911 dispatchers will broadcast a sign off message to all radio channels followed by WCC dispatchers broadcasting a sign on message. The WCC regional dispatch center will connect Menomonee Falls residents directly to the WCC dispatchers when they call 911, from any phone whether the call is from a landline or a cellular phone. Non-Emergency calls for service requesting a police, fire, or medical assistance response should be directed to #262-446-5070, replacing the #262-532-1700 currently in use. Police Memorial Service
Location: John S. Taylor Park, Menomonee Falls (2:00pm-3:00pm) At our service we remember in a special way our brother John Taylor, a former Menomonee Falls Police Officer, who was killed in the line of duty. The speaker at this year’s Police Memorial Ceremony will be Joe Helm (Menomonee Falls Village President). Following this Police Memorial Service, the Neighborhood Watch will provide a time of refreshments and fellowship.

Daytime Residential Burglaries – Menomonee Falls and surrounding communities
Menomonee Falls Crime Alert Menomonee Falls & surrounding communities are experiencing an increase in daytime burglaries to residences. Suspects utilize the following scheme: Stolen vehicle is backed into driveway (different stolen vehicles have been used). One suspect rings the front doorbell repeatedly. If no one answers, suspects enter home through unlocked doors/windows or will force entry if necessary. If door is answered, suspects give the name of a fictitious person they are trying to contact and will leave quickly **SUSPECTS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED ARMED** When a victim confronted a suspect removing a screen from an open window, one of the suspects brandished a firearm. Suspects are stealing electronics, cash, jewelry, firearms and vehicle.
