We would like to share a reminder to ensure your garage doors are closed at night and your vehicles are locked. Surrounding jurisdictions are seeing an uptick in entry to automobiles during the overnight hours. This is usually a crime of opportunity, in which perpetrators identify unlocked vehicles or open garage doors and take valuables that are easily accessible. If you or a member of your neighborhood believes your vehicle was entered during the overnight hours, contact the non-emergency number to report the incident and have an officer respond. As always, stay alert and don’t hesitate to contact us if something doesn’t seem right.
